Oh...Baby Jill, Baby Jill. A.K.A "Super Baby". I told a funny story about her tonight at my concert. I told everyone that she is really from another planet and that I was never really pregnant. We live on 7 acres and we found her ship in the fields. We've spent the last 3 years of her life just trying to make her as average and normal as possible so no one will know. Is that mean????? :)
Ha ha ha...Well, anyone who KNOWS me, knows I love that kid more than my luggage. (Remember that from Steel Magnolias???) The fact that she is so stinkin' cute has saved her many times from...well...many things! :)
So she wakes up this morning and helps herself to the fridge, the toaster, the microwave, dragging stools all over the kitchen. She's only 3. She's a short little thing. So she's helping herself to making some waffles and heating up some frozen pancakes in the microwave. HELLO???? What is she thinking? She just figured out how to potty on her own a few months ago. Not ready for her to master becoming a chef. Oh, and it was 7:00 in the morning...on a SATURDAY! Sleep in, anyone? Not at this house!
Well, I asked her later on after lunch if she wanted to help Mommy get my gear ready for the event tonight. I had already sung somewhere last night so my car was full and we needed to put some things in Daddy's truck. Well, she thinks I need to open the back of my Expedition. It's a newer model where you press a button and the hatch slowly lifts by itself. (Do you see where I'm going with this?") So my back is to her while I'm looking for something and I hear, " Mommy, help." Not really in a frantic voice, just kind of "matter-of-fact". I turn around and I see her dangling from the top of the hatch!! She had pressed the button and realized the back was coming up so she just hung on for dear life...and took a little joy ride to the top! HA HA! I laughed so hard that I almost ran and grabbed a camera before I realized that, hey...maybe I should take her down before she drops 7 feet to the ground! Only Super Baby, Folks....only my sweet little Super Baby!

That's so funny! You should have gotten her down, ran to get the camera, then put her back up there for a photo! She may not have appreciated that though.
Bryson is four and he's been "cooking" since he was three too. He knows just how many seconds to cook his pancakes and exactly where to turn the toaster button to toast something just right. :)
I'm posting as anonymous because I'm too lazy to sign up for google.
Robin

You know you are a true blogging mom when you think about the photo op before you think about saving your kid. LOL!
And "Anonymous Robin" is right! I'm one of those moms who has been known to stage and recreate moments just to get the picture. It's a scrapbooking/blogging curse!
