The end of November...

I cannot believe November is almost over. My favorite time of the year is late September -December. But it just seems to fly by. One of the things I miss about the east is the change of colors. Here in Midland, November almost looks like June. Almost. There aren't too many trees therefore not too much in the change of color, unless you live in the older part of Midland where there happen to be trees. We have NO trees in our yard. None. My husband says what's the point? By the time they are fully grown to enjoy we will be long dead so why plant them. Okay then. :)
So let me just say what a crazy busy fall this has been! I have been really blessed with lots of bookings and it's been fun but a little stressful too. I've traveled way more this year than I have in the past. It can wear you out for sure! I've missed sooo much college football! Many games are on saturdays and so are women's events. I missed half of my son's football games. :( Not fun. I won't miss too many basketball games though, since they are all during the week! Woo hoo.
So what did I do this November? Let's see...I planned a trip to New York that totally fell through but I don't wish to discuss the particulars of that small disappointment. I went on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas with 3 other fun couples and had a total blast!
Went to see NEW MOON at the midnight showing...yep...midnight. :) Didn't even have to wait in line. Had to wait in the theater but who cares? I just played scrabble on my phone for 2 hours. Sadly, I sang at a funeral for a sweet friend that lost his son to an awful disease. I wrote a song for them and it was probably the hardest song I've ever written due to the fact that I cried thru most of the writing process. I enjoyed a sweet thanksgiving with my family and my parents. I even decorated a Christmas wreath that looks strikingly like one of the famous Miss Cayce's Christmas Wreaths (If I do say so myself.) Ha ha...
I leave Thursday for Mississippi to see an old friend of mine that moved away several years ago to sing at a Christmas event at her church. I'm very excited. I haven't ever been out to her place since she moved and this visit should be quite fun!
I'll leave you with a few fun pictures... If you "get" my T-shirt...let me know! :)
