(One month ago) "Kate, where's your phone cover?" "I don't know, Mom, I can't find it".(2 weeks ago) "Kate, you know if you don't put a cover on that phone you are going to drop it and crack the face." "Yeah, well, I'll be careful."
(a few days ago) "Kate...here's your cover. Maybe you should put it on your phone. " "(ignore)"
(Last night) "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH, MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I dropped my phone and it cracked and it's ruined and my life is over and how can I go on with a cracked phone???!!!!!" (uncontrollable sobbing, weeping, and gnashing of teeth)
"Yeah, that pink cover's looking awfully good right about now, isn't it?" :)
