Easy on the eyes

Ha ha! Ok...I thought that was a funny title. I wrote that b/c I think this blog page is way easier on your eyes than trying to scroll thru my news section. It is soooo hard! I can't even do it so how do I expect anyone else to? You have to barely move the bar and it shoots up and down and...well...it makes me nervous! Speaking of easy on the eyes...I'm still working on my "myspace" where the pink is none too easy on the eyes. My nephew is supposed to be changing it.
Ok...it's late and I just got home from practice. I can never get to sleep after singing so I'm up writing about what's going on in my life. I think I'm going to lead a women's Bible study at Stonegate this spring. I'm pretty excited about that. Leading anything helps to keep me accountable.
I am still writing songs but the funny thing is I can't come up with any words. I probably have 6 songs musically but nothing seems to be coming together lyrically. I guess I'm waiting for just the right hook!
I have a MOPS event this month and two women's events next month. I contemplated on entering the GMAs songwriting/artist contest again. The regionals are in Dallas the 14th of February. But...I've got a gig that weekend so competitions will have to wait. I'm all about competitions. I've got to get over myself. I LOVE to win! I'm very competitive.
Sooo...that about sums up my personal life, outside of just being a mom to my kiddos.
Report cards came home today and everyone did well so I'm pretty happy.
If you're reading this and interested in coming to hear me play sometime, the Lisa Whelchel event at Kelview should be a great event to attend. It's the 9th and 10th of February.
Check back soon~
